Simply for capturing the terrific memories that you experience, you will get fond of using Canon underwater cameras quickly.

Underwater cameras have most of the same features as the handy cameras that we used outdoors – the only difference is that they have certain functions that are more innovative because they are water resistant and can be used to capture pictures under the sea.

Of course, these underwater cameras are not only exclusively for taking pictures under the sea because some of them are also designed to be used in outdoor activities. In heavy rain these cameras will not be affected because of the protective device to guard against water and pressure damage. They come in a number of forms, with their prices relecting the entire range of normal camera pricing.

The cheapest type of underwater camera for instance is the simple disposable underwater camera. These cameras are able to take about twenty to thirty pictures. These cameras are waterproof enough to be utilized when there is harsh rain and snow storms. These are best use for fun scuba trips and family vacations; it will certainly capture the memorable parts of the family fun.

One of the best known brands of underwater cameras is the Canon. It has been proven efficient in all forms of underwater adventures. Canon underwater cameras have a lot of designs that offer different features. Each of the cameras gives advantages and special features that you will really enjoy. However, as you would expect from a quality brand like Canon, these cameras might appear a bit expensive because of the gadgets used on it; nonetheless they are of best quality and you will have no regrets once you see the resolution of your pictures.

Many conventional digital and film cameras have waterproof housings. Placing your camera inside will allow you to ‘transform’ your existing camera into an underwater camera. However, if you want excellent photographic quality from under the water, we would always advise purchasing a dedicated underwater camera.

Canon underwater cameras came in various models. The higher the photo resolution that it has, generally the more expensive the price is. Many of the underworld photographers that I know prefer to use Canon underwater cameras because they offers a “one of a kind quality”. The Canon Company is one of the pioneering companies that launched underwater cameras in the market and you know you will be getting quality when you buy Canon.

How do I record and create MP3s from home?

§ July 29th, 2010 § Filed under MP3 Players § Tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , § No Comments

There used to be no substitution for a good recording job done in a professional recording studio. Now with the rising popularity of digital PC recording and the low cost of recording software, many people are re-thinking the idea of home recording. Plus with the ease of MP3 distribution, and the many sites that offer free web hosting and the ability to upload and download free music, the difficulty of promoting and distributing your bands MP3s has been made very easy. The questions at hand are, what do I need to begin recording at home, how do I turn my recordings into MP3s, and what do I do with said MP3s after I am done creating them?

Home recording on a PC requires just a couple of things; a computer, recording software (i.e. Pro Tools, Cakewalk, Cubase), and a digital soundcard. If you will be recording multiple tracks from multiple sources at the same time, you might want to invest in a mixer as well. (This is assuming that your sound card only has one audio input) This will allow you input more than one instrument/microphone to your computer at the same time. Install your recording software and sound card drivers. Plug your mixer into your sound card, plug your instruments into your mixer and youre ready to begin recording. The recording process may be a little different depending on what software you are using, but most decent software comes with a good instruction manual which you can consult if you are having problems. After recording, you will want to mix all tracks down to a stereo audio .wav file.

Now that we have our recording done and our .wav file in hand, well want to convert it to an MP3 file. If you will be burning your tracks to CD, you wont need to convert it to an MP3 file. But for distribution for music downloads on the web, the smallest, best quality, most universally accepted format will be an MP3 file. You can take your .wav file and export it as an MP3 through whatever audio recording program you use. Most recording software offers that option, but keep in mind that you might need to mess with the output settings to get the best quality MP3 out of your program. Another option is to use a stand-alone .wav to MP3 converter. If you go to download.com and search for .wav to .mp3 converter, you will be presented with a good list of programs that do just that. I have had good results using both methods, so its really up to you.

Once you have your MP3 files, you can set-up your own website and offer free music downloads. Or you can go to one of the many sites that offer free web hosting for musicians, so that the musicians will have a place to offer downloadable music MP3s, music videos, and music lyrics. Sites like, DiskFaktory Jams and Section Z are both free and have other tools for musicians to access, like message board forums and internet radio stations. Once you have your recording done, the possibilities are endless!

PSP Games – How To Download PSP Games From The Internet

In today’s video game market you have to pay quite a bit of money to get the brand new cutting edge video game systems like the PS3, XBox 360 and even the Sony PSP, I am talking major money anywhere from $300 to $500 dollars then on top of that you have to buy the expensive games that can be $50 to $60 dollars, just ridiculous prices.

With all this money, it is pretty hard to keep up and get the newest games and or systems, so I decide to do some homework on trying to find an alternate way of getting games for my PSP. Well it didn’t take long for me to cut down on the cost of buying games for my PSP, in fact, now I get all my PSP games for free.

Have you been having trouble learning how to download games on your PSP? It is really easy to learn how. Here’s how to do it in 6 easy steps.

1.) Get A Memory Stick

You are going to need a lot of free space. The original 32 MB stick just won’t cut it. How can you download games or watch movies on 32 MBs?! I would recommend 256 Megs of free space.

2.) Download PSP game files to your computer

Make sure you aren’t downloading shareware but full games. Once you download the games you want to your computer, you are able to transfer them to your PSP.

3.) Decompress the file

If the games are compressed in a ZIP file, you will need a free program like Winzip or Stuffit Expander (Mac) to decompress the file. These programs will automatically unzip the file.

4.) Connect your PSP to your computer

Now, how do we play the games? To be able to play the games, you must connect the PSP to your computer (duh). You should use the free USB cable that the PSP comes with. The PSP must be in USB mode for the files to download. How to do this? Press the HOME button and scroll to the SETTINGS column. Scroll to USB CONNECTION and press X. Then you are ready for file transfer.

5.) Copy the PSP Game to your PSP

You have to copy the full game to PSP > Game. If you do not put the game in this folder, it will certainly not work.

I know it sounds to good to be true, but believe me when I say this is the real deal. It is 100% legal and extremely easy, all you have to do is download the PSP games from your computer onto your PSP and start playing. Download free Ipod song

§ July 25th, 2010 § Filed under Using Technology § Tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , § No Comments

Download free Ipod song. This is more involved than you may think! It is not hard to download stuff onto your Ipod. A simple search engine search will bring up a lot of free sites, but did you find doing so may brick your Ipod or land you in jail? In this article there is a list of tips to assist you in downloading free Ipod songs safely and legally!

Situation 1-
A lot of the free download sites can be very unsafe when it comes to security. I’m sure you would not want to see your beloved Imac or Apple Macbook ruined by a virus, or have to put up with your Ipod becoming a non functioning brick? With your keenness to find free music downloads, it is easy to become over enthusiastic, which plays right into the hands of these unscrupulous sites. Their downloads are often corrupted with spyware and adware, or often something even worse! You will also often download something from one of these sites and then find that it in no way matches what it was supposed to be. The site is only interested in getting access to your computer, and they probably achieved this with your download. You would be well advised to check your computer if you have ever downloaded from these kind of sites!

Situation 2-
Its against the law! If you look at these download sites, they don’t look legitimate, and they try to offload spyware and malware onto peoples computers. Would legal and ethical sites behave like this? It has to be stated quite categorically that downloading from P2P sites is illegal. Period. The US government is making the law on this tighter on an ongoing basis, and people are going to prison for these offences! You have to decide whether it is worth risking being sent to jail just for downloading a free song or free film.

Situation 3-
It is probably really easy to set up an illegal P2P download site. I say this because you certainly see enough of them. One of the biggest pitfalls with wanting to download a free Ipod song, is that it is not that easy to find the legitimate sites. None of the illegal sites are going to have that fact plastered all over their website. As their main source of revenue is people clicking ads, they try to attract as many visitors to the site as they can..

Don’t let all of this put you off if you really want to download a free Ipod song, as it can be done safely. We are now seeing the emergence of a few legal download sites, which proves that Itunes does not have a monopoly. These are very useful sites. When you find one you like you can probably use it for life. Ill show you where you can find the best ones in a second. There is one small downside, in that these sites have to charge a small membership fee. The proceeds from this go toward upkeep of their servers, and also help pay the music licenses etc. Its usually around $20 to $50, and once you are a paid up member, you have unlimited access to high speed downloads. These include music, films, games, music videos and even TV shows. It is impressive value for the price, and there is no limit as it is a lifetime membership, so your $20 will get you thousands of downloads. Much cheaper than Itunes.

This article will have illustrated how dangerous it is to patronise the shady free download sites which are all too common on the internet. There is a better way to download free Ipod song! As I mentioned earlier, check out some links to the best free download sites below.

Some digital cameras come with zoom, a self-timer and even flash, so choosing these qualities just might be right up your ally for great picture taking. One of the neat features that some digital cameras offer these days is a moviemaker or mpeg maker, this allows you to capture a few seconds worth of homemade film and can complement any picture you have taken.

Buying a good digital camera does not have to cost a lot of money for anyone, even for the beginner. History of MP3

§ July 23rd, 2010 § Filed under MP3 Players § Tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , § No Comments

Mp3 technology was developed by a German Company Fraunhofer Gesellshaft which now licenses the patent rights to the audio compression technology.

There are two names mostly associated with the development of the MP3. The Fraunhofer institute helped with the audio encoding buy Dieter Seitzer, a professor at the University of Erlanger. Dieter Seitzer worked on the quality transfer of music over a standard phone line. This research was being led by Karl Heinz Branden Burg who is also called the father of MP3. Karl Heinz was a specialist in mathematics and electronics and was involved in researching methods to compress music since 1977.

Timeline of MP3
In 1987, the Fraunhofer Institute in Germany began research code named Eureka project EU147, Digital Audio Broadcasting.
In the month of January 1988, Moving Pictures Expert Group or MPEG was established as a subcommittee of the International standards organization.
In April 1989, a German patent was received by Fraunhofer for MP3.
In the year 1992, Fraunhofers and Dieter Seitzers audio encoding algorithm was integrated into MPEG -1
In the year 1993, MPEG-1 standard was published.
In 1994, MPEG-2 was developed and published a year later.
In the month of November 1996, United States patent was issued for MP3.
In September 1998, Fraunhofer started to enforce their patent rights whereby all developers of MP3 encoders or rippers were obliged to pay a licensing fee to Fraunhofer.
In February 1999, a record company named SubPop started to distribute music tracks in MP3 format.
In the same year portable mp3 players appeared.

Power of Mp3
Mp3 stands for MPEG Audio Layer 3 and it is a standard for audio compression that makes any music file smaller with little or no loss of sound quality. MPEG sound encoding can shrink down the original sound data from a CD by a factor of 12, without losing the sound quality.

Mp3 players
In the early 1990, Fraunhofer developed the first and unsuccessful mp3 player. Later in 1997, developer Tomislav Uzelac of Advanced Multimedia products invented the AMP MP3 playback engine that was the first successful MP3 player.

Does Your Business Need CCTV?

§ July 19th, 2010 § Filed under Using Technology § Tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , § No Comments

Is your business suffering from crime, or are you worried that you havent done enough to protect it? There are many different security measures you can take to ensure that your business, your stock, your employees and your customers are safe, and one of these is by installing a CCTV system.

Were used to seeing CCTV operations in our streets and in our shops, perhaps even in the place where we work, but would you put it in your business, and if so, why?

Peace of mind

Whether you have been the target of vandals or have experienced robbery or attacks, you need a security system that gives you peace of mind. Whilst a CCTV system cant always stop an attack, it can be a deterrent and it can provide valuable evidence that helps to identify the perpetrator, or to give the police a better idea about what took place. The knowledge that a CCTV system could make a would-be burglar change his or her mind or capture their face on tape if they decide to go ahead is the reason that many people invest in CCTV systems

Adaptable

Unlike many other security measures, CCTV is adaptable. This means you can start off with a small, relatively basic system and add cameras and monitors as and when you need to. You can decide to have static cameras in strategic places and remote-controlled cameras elsewhere. A good CCTV supplier can help to tailor a package that fits your needs.

Protects your staff and your customers

Your staff may have been subject to attack or verbal abuse, and your customers may not feel safe in your store and so your sales drop. A visible CCTV camera helps to protect your most important assets your employees and your customers. For example, a monitored system could pick up the signs of trouble before anything actually occurs and staff can take immediate action.

Its worth considering whether you and your business could benefit from the installation of a CCTV system.

Rent Or Buy HD Video Camera

§ July 17th, 2010 § Filed under Digital Cameras § Tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , § No Comments

If you are new to HD video cameras, you’ve probably
found yourself wondering if you really need to have
one around. For a majority of people, a HD video
camera represents the best way to capture memories
and pictures with the best technology available today.

For producers or those looking to start their own
productions, HD video cameras may be easier to rent
than to buy. While most HD video cameras cost quite a
bit of money, they may be easier to rent than just to
go out and buy.

If you only plan to use your camera for a few days
or just a short period of time, then renting may be
your best option. Producers and professional
photographers looking to take things to the next
level, may choose rent a HD video camera to test the
waters before making the purchase. If you’ve never
experienced HD before, renting a camera may be the
best idea before you sink a ton of money into buying
one of your very own.

On the other hand, if you take a lot of pictures and
enjoy making videos, buying a camera may be the best
option for you. Even though they cost a lot of money,
these cameras are ideal for anyone who is seeking the
absolute best in technology. These cameras are
nothing like cameras of the past, as they can do so
much more – with a lot better quality.

For the average photographer, a HD video camera may
not be the best purchase. If you are on a budget or
don’t have a lot of money to spend, then this type of
camera is probably going to be out of your league. If
you have a lot of money on the other hand, this type
of camera is more than worth the purchase.

There are several companies that rent out HD cameras,
from many different manufacturers. Normally, those
that rent are looking to try the camera out, or just
needing it for a brief amount of time. Trying out
the camera is a good thing, although it normally leads
to buying it. It can be very difficult to try out
a camera that is this good then not buy it.

When the time comes to test out HD video cameras,
renting is sometimes the best way to go. If you’ve
used these types of cameras in the past, then you
may want to go ahead and buy one. There are several
to choose from, and you really can’t go wrong with
jumping on the band wagon and immersing yourself in
the amazing world of HD.
